Tara Devi is a beautiful temple located on the peak of Tara Devi hill. The temple is around 10 Kms. from Shimla and well connected by Road. There is regular bus service of state transport, on weekends bus services is after every half hour. Taxi can also be hired to the temple. There is ample parking space for parking the vehicles near temple.
This is one of the must visit places in Shimla. The temple is located at the top of the hill and it is very peaceful over here. Langar [ Divine Prasad ] also served here on weekends and other holy days and festivals. It's open to all devotees. This place is very beautiful and the view from this temple is breath taking. The temple architecture is very unique, made of wood and stone with exquisite carvings. It is located on top of thick forest of oak and rhododendron and offers scenic views of the lofty Himalayas surrounding the town.
